About the Artist
Gail Dolphin has surrounded herself with animals and art since she was a young girl. Her childhood memories are filled with a household full of pets and riding horses. She eventually went on to study Graphic Design and Illustration at Kutztown University in Pennsylvania, where her images were always influenced by her love of the outdoors and nature. For several years, she had a horse boarding operation with her husband and most recently spent three years living fulltime in a 42 foot motorhome.
After a life spent owning, riding and working with horses and dogs, her intimate knowledge has become a constant inspiration for her artwork. Her commissioned subjects have ranged from backyard pets such as goats and donkeys, to champion show horses and
dogs. In her detailed paintings and drawings, Gail captures the beauty, spirit and individuality of each animal she portrays.
